BRAMAN SCOOPS DETROIT AUTO SHOW
Braman MINI to debut MINI Roadster Ahead of Schedule
The Mini Roadster made its public debut at The North American Auto Show in Detroit this past week prior to going on sale in North America in mid-2012. Don’t feel left out, because Braman Motorcars were proud to host a private unveiling show case of the Mini Roadster right here in the Palm Beach area.
Braman Motorcars brought the show here to South Florida Friday - January 6th through Monday January 9th. The Mini made its official debut in Detroit at the North American International Auto Show.
The Detroit Auto show is a world class event held every year, this January 14-22, 2012. The North American International Auto Show 2012 is where the global automotive community comes together to catch up on the latest news and events. NAIAS is uniquely positioned to be four shows in one - a media preview, an industry preview, a charity preview and a public show with a 9-day run.
The newest addition to the current Mini lineup is the 2012 Mini Roadster; this is the brands sixth model and first two-seat convertible in Mini’s history. This two-seater sports car concept with manual-opening soft-top roof, has a storage area, wide-opening tailgate for comfortable loading, and stands more than 20 millimeters lower than the MINI Convertible.
The car is essentially an open-air version of the new two-place Mini Coupe, but instead of a hard top styled after a backwards baseball cap, the Roadster wears a black fabric roof.
There is something about Mini and convertible that goes to together so well. Its the combination of pure driving fun and open top experience. The standard cooper convertible is a bundle of joy already, but MINI decided that wasn’t enough to satisfy the purists.
The all new MINI Cooper Roadster is fresh for 2012 and is the ultimate in top down MINI motoring. MINI’s first ever two seater design gives the car a much more sportier feel than ever before. The true Roadster is going to be in the same price range as the Cooper convertible and you will still be able to get the same great two engines.
Braman Mini is proud to announce a spring 2012 arrival of the car and we know our customer’s will be addicted to this new way of enjoying a mini top down.

This past weekend Braman MINI was host to the unveiling of the new MINI Cooper Coupe, but MINI was not a word to describe this weekend. Excitement began Friday evening with a cocktail hour and product presentation of the new Coupe by Director of Sales, Raj Alexander. With two vehicles displayed, guests were able to capture the true uniqueness and excitement of the newest member to the family.
All current MINI owners were able to partake on a police escort road rally through Clematis Street downtown and City Place, ending at Braman MINI for a drive-in movie featuring the Bourne Identity, accompanied by popcorn and refreshments.
Saturday afternoon, aroma and music filled the air while Braman MINI hosted a “welcome to the family” BBQ for the new Coupe accompanied by MINI music. Guests were able to enjoy the new Coupe and have all their questions answered by one of our many client advisors as well as experience the thrill of the Coupe with a test drive.
We would like to thank everyone that came out and supported the unveiling of the new car, and can only hope that you had as much fun as we did!

- “The MINI Wave. This preferred road greeting of MINI motorers is sort of a secret handshake minus the annoying, pompous secret part. Saying hello to fellow MINI Owners is the unspoken way of the road. Other accepted forms of MINI greetings include the Hey ‘Sup Head Nod and the Old School Honk, but never the middle finger” (MINI USA).
- “Just because you drive, doesn’t mean you motor. When you drive, you go from A to B. When you motor, you go from A to Z. It’s all about living. Nobody can tell you when you’re motoring. You just know” (MINI USA).
